Competition Format


The format of the Championship will be as follows:


9th April @ Murcar GC

10th April @ Fraserburgh GC

11th April @ Cruden Bay GC

12th Trump International Golf Links Top 32 (16 Gross & Top 16 Nett)

Non Qualifiers Newburgh On Ythan (stableford competition)

13th Trump International Golf Links Top 32( Top 16 Gross & Top 16 Nett)


Each of the  rounds will be a qualifying competition with a CSS calculated and declared each day.


The scores will be sent to your club each evening after the round is finalised and a CSS calculated.


You will play off the same handicap as advised by the Central Database of Handicaps from your National Governing Body as at 7.00a.m. on Monday 9th April 2018


MAXIMUM HANDICAP 18 (players over 18 handicap may enter but play off 18). This is a Gentlemen Only Competition.

All entrants must be amateurs and members of recognised golf clubs, or affiliated to their country’s governing body, and must hold an active CONGU handicap.

4 Days Over 5 of Scotland's Finest Championship Courses

9th - 13th April 2018


The Inaugural Aberdeenshire Coast Links Championship 2018


This amazing new Championship will take in 5 of Scotlands finest courses including two days at  the World Famous Trump International Golf Links. Alongside this the Championship will take in Murcar & Cruden Bay both Courses are equally well know and have both held many prestige events.

Making up the line up are Fraserburgh Golf Club (7th oldest course in the world) a real hidden gem, and Newburgh On Ythan always a feature in Top 100 courses in Scotland


Monday 9th April will see Murcar open up the Championship, this lovely Links recently held the Paul Lawrie Matchplay in 2016 which was won by Kiridech Arabarnrat.Tuesday will see the players move on to Fraserburgh (7th oldest course in the World) this hidden gem is a tradition Links, always ranked in the Top 60 in Scotland this is a must play Course for Aberdeenshire. Wednesday we move on to the World Famous Cruden Bay, this outstanding Links is a real favourite with the Americans, who visit it frequently, not only one of Scotlands Finest Links courses but the Worlds, in 2013 it was ranked 54th in the World by "Links Magazine USA" high praise indeed.


After 3 days of superb venues, the Top 32 players (16 gross & 16 nett) will take on 36 holes (two days) over arguably a course that will not only be Scotlands Finest but one of the Worlds finest Links Courses one day the Trump International, a modern but still tradition look Links, this really will be special for the players involved. Players will have early/late start giving it a real "Open" feel to final two days.

For the non qualifiers another Top 100 course in Scotland awaits on day 4 Newburgh On Ythan, which is less than 5 miles from Trump International.
